Kitchen Splashbacks and Upstands
Why an upstand?
Save money / Replacement
-
Using an upstand is a very cost effective way of replacing a old, scratched or damaged worktop without having to re tile the wall behind. If and when you damage the tiles on the wall behind the worktop all you have to do is fix a matching upstand to the back of the worktop and the damaged tiles are now hidden.
-
Using a upstand is a simple way to increase the depth/overhang of your worktop. There is nothing worse than looking down at a worktop and seeing the cupboard its meant to be covering underneath . This is especially true when changing worktops on MFI, Howdens and Ikea kitchens which tend to have slightly wider kitchen units.

It looks fantastic and can be easily cut to fit the exact size you require. This is particularly effective underneath extractor fans

It’s a cheaper alternative to tiling.

Its very easy to maintain. There is no grout so it’s the same as cleaning a worksurface.
